What about me?

on the beach, in the wind

Hello, I'm Liviu

I can’t imagine my life without photography. I’ve been helping my dad develop black and white films since I was a child. He’s the one who taught me how to use cameras, lenses, film rolls, and the one who taught me how to look passed the obvious and find interesting details in mundane images. I’m also passionate about technology. I’ve always been quick to update my collection whenever progress was made – I started out using film cameras, then moved on to polaroid cameras, then digital cameras. I can honestly say that each tool taught me different skills and made me the photographer I am today. There are a couple of reasons why I decided to become a professional photographer: 1) I practice a lot of sports – diving, kitesurfing, wakeboarding, sailing, paragliding, snowboarding. My group and I take a lot of pride in these activities and we’ve always wanted someone to take professional photos of us. Problem was we couldn’t find anyone willing to go in the water, underwater, in the air, on the snow or in the sun. Or even someone who understood both photography, and our sports. 2) I later started a family, and like every parent, I wanted to immortalize each moment in the most amazing, impressive way imaginable. I started getting asked to attend events more and more frequently, so I decided to turn my love of photography into a business. I made it a priority to continuously learn and practice, and acquired all the needed equipment. The 14 frames per second allow me to captures moments that the naked eye can’t see, and while my first love is sports photography, I’ve also added concert photography, portrait photography, wedding photography and nature photography to my portfolio. What sets me apart from my colleagues is my long relationship with photography. It offers me a unique perspective, a good understanding of the moment, a high level of involvement, a powerful desire to do something new, a very personal way of seeing and approaching photography.
